About the project
The definitive trucker simulator where players step into the boots of an Alaskan trucker, blending vehicle simulation with survival mechanics. Players haul cargo across a sprawling, dynamic map, battling extreme weather (blizzards, avalanches) and harsh road conditions. Crucially, it requires players to exit their cab for maintenance, manage personal needs (hunger, fatigue, temperature), and develop their base and truck fleet to survive and thrive.
My role
I had a minor role focused specifically on testing and tweaking the truck physics. My main deliverable was creating a dedicated demo level for a major Steam event.
Challenges
The key challenge was designing and implementing a highly condensed 1-hour level for the demo that could effectively showcase the main mechanics and core gameplay experience using only a small section of the overall map.
